i enjoy being sick, to some extent. i like that i get to sit in bed and be coddled by my mother, mostly. i don’t get much coddling, and i enjoy it.

but i hate being sick for one reason. no one wants to be around you. and, for me, that’s the worst. my happiness is derived from being surrounded by people, and strep throat is just pure, terrible loneliness.
